The theme for Stage 4.3 was “Escape from Treasure Island” – and we have learned that only the top six teams of twelve were lucky enough to make it through intact. These top six teams move on to Stage 5 and the Semi-Finals, but unfortunately, we have to say goodbye to the other six who fell short of advancing. However, as a result of a “Design-a-Stage Competition” won by Jimmy B, the Semi-Finals will now be known as the Jimmy B’s, but the moblist for Stage 5 is not the one he won the contest with, and will be used for a stage of WoF next year. Here are the matches set for Saturday - December 1st: Australia vs. Dach USA vs. BeNeLux Sweden vs. Canada The teams have a choice of either 10:00 (AM), or 19:00 (PM) game time, so it’s not certain which teams will be battling it out in which time slot. There’s no denying though, that this is going to be quite the battle, and it will be interesting to see who brings their A-game in order to make it through to the Finals. MOB LIST SPECIES MAIN TEAM Atrox (Alpha and above) — 10 points Caperon (any maturity) — 9 points Grand Formidon/Formidon (any maturity) — 8 points Ambulimax (Provider and above) — 7 points Atrox (Dominant and below) — 6 points Ambulimax (Old and below) — 5 points SUPPORT Itumatrox (any maturity) — 4 points Scipulor (any maturity) — 3 points Tezlapod (any maturity) — 2 points Mermoth (any maturity) — 1 point BONUS Mourner (any maturity) — 25 points There’s No Win Bonus but there is a LOOT BONUS of 15 points for highest combined global loot (Main Team). Hurrikane was hoping to hear from MindArk regarding some special additions to this stage, but hasn’t, and is now hoping to get them confirmed for the final stage. At any rate, he says that there’s a new challenge with ONE MATCH to get it right, because the three winners of the Semi-Final Matches will go on to battle it out in a Three-Way Final on December 15th. Congratulations to those who have come this far and have done their countries proud. If you have a favorite team out of the Top 6, then perhaps you might consider lending some firepower to their support team. It’s going to be an even tougher battle in this last leg of the tournament, and I’m sure the other teams would welcome any offered help in their quest to be the last country standing. We wish the Top 6 the best as they face the final two stages of the World of Firepower 2012 challenge. If you are interested in learning more about WoF 2012, or past WoF events, go here.
