The other day there was a video with a woman who resolut throws a kitten in a garbage bin, were it had to stay without food and water for around 14 hours, before it was found by its owners!!! Today a new video is on the internet, showing a young girl throwing tiny little puppies alive in a river, for them to drown ... http://www.doobybrain.com/2010/08/30/please-help-identify-this-girl-throwing-puppies-into-a-river/ (I warn you, it's not pretty). The girl is having fun and ends with a grin ... I really can't help thinking what kind of people do things like this or what MAKES them do it. I'm not the biggest dog/cat lover (and besides, I'm terribly allergic) but to treat living beings like this is so awful and totally beyong my imagination!!! I hope Karma will play a huge role here ...

I saw this. To me it isnt very surprising at all. Alot of people out there are vicious, petty, and cruel. People show it in all sorts of different ways on a daily basis. Whether its not standing up and saying No when something is obviously wrong, or abusing animals instead of having it out with whomever you have an actual issue with, people in my opinion just cant seem to get it right. Alot of this I think is due to social fear. Folks fear of social rejection and ostracism tends to outweigh their sense of right and wrong. The sense of self preservation takes over, and we as a whole tend to go with whatever path offers the least resistance. Animals cant tell on you if you treat them poorly. Alot of folks take advantage of this and take out their anger in this manner. For other people its children. For others its the comfortable anonymity of the internet. The list goes on. What saddens me is the cat was obviously a friendly, well socialized animal. It was on the fence, saw this lady, and was basically saying "Hello Person. Would you take a minute to pet me? I like people." The person in this case seems to be more of an animal than the "dumb animal" that she took advantage of. The video itself was actually security camera footage. Nobody was purposefully filming this act and getting a chuckle. The owners obtained the footage from the authorities and were able to find the woman responsible.
I just read, that they found and arrested the girl. She's a minor from Bosnien and her brother filmed the 'show'. She will be fined with something between 15 and 5000 Euro for doing this horrible thing, as the police will have a talk with her parents ... My guess is, that they don't care much ....
Wait was this a second video of a woman throwing a cat in the garbage? There was another one filmed in the UK where a woman in her mid 50's walked by a cat on top of a fence and pitched it into the recycling bin. Well at any rate Im not surprised. I actually busted my neighbor yesterday morning at around 7AM chasing my cat out of his front yard with a broom and cussing at it. The broom made a real loud smack on the concrete and my cat bolted back over into my yard. I was outside having a smoke, my cat had walked by me and into the neighbors yard. My neighbor didnt know I was out front. Needless to say I had words with him since his dog is often found shitting in my yard.
Update is, that an older Bosnian woman came forward and told the press, that she was walking at the river when she heard some barking. She found 5 out of the 6 puppies and took them up and they live at her place now. She feeds them with milk, and it takes all her pension money, but she saved their life and don't care. She had no idea about all the fuss the little creatures made all over the world, untill some person told her ... ???
