Project Entropia update expected before Christmas 09 Dec 2004The Version Update 6.4 is expected to arrive around the 15th of December. The main content entry is the introduction of Mindforce teleportation. With a new series of power chips, the participants will be able to move freely around the map several kilometers, create portals between friends, and even have access to their estates – regardless of distance.

Treasure Island castle publicly opened 25 Nov 2004The Treasure Island castle on Amethera is now open for public viewing. The castle is a part of the ongoing Treasure Island auction, ending in December, in which the owner of Treasure Island also receives ownership of the castle. The castle is shown fully furnished to illustrate how you can decorate it. The furniture is not included in the final sale. Summary of the first Land Grab phase 14 Oct 2004The first Land Area Battle phase was an intense and exciting experience! Several societies fought hard and a lot of personal courage was shown at the most critical periods during the claim challenges. Desert Rangers, who held on to the LA-1 area, had quite a troublefree experience, as most challengers were dismayed by the rhetoric (or threats) of Jor. Desert Rangers held the area for 12h straight and was the second area claimed. Over at the LA-2 area, plenty of combat erupted during the course of the phase. RedCell Corp held the area valiantly for several hours until the repeated attacks from various societies broke them. Warants, after failing to take the cK controlled LA-3, managed to secure the area, even after several counter-attacks in which Warants lost the area for some time. One memorable moment was when Skalman of Warants single-handedly, Rambo-style, wiped the entire defence force. The most fierce combat was the LA-3 battle, where the cK Coat Killers society managed to hold the defense in an assault from Warants which carried on in waves during almost three hours. Several tactics where used by the attackers, some of which was deemed of questionable honor by the defenders. Angel of cK was disturbed after the final assault, but the tension later dissolved once they started playing PEC tic-tac-toe as relaxation. The LA-6 area was first held by Reservoir Dogs, but they were defeated by the Calypso Conquerors. The CC managed to hold the land for quite some time, despite being attacked over and over, especially from the White Tiger society. Solders of Fortune aided CC, while Imperial Dreams supported White Tigers. VVV and NZR, of opposite sides, fought long and hard during the waves of assaults. EBN News update 13 Oct 2004A group of high-ranking Imperial crafters on a surprise visit were viscously attacked by an unknown number of vile creatures while out on a tourist safari. Initial reports indicate they were carrying a limited number of exclusive garments, which weren’t found at the accident site.

Creature mating habits 13 Oct 2004The creatures on Calypso got so excited with the new VU so they started mating like crazy. The Calypso Park Ranger Association will now supply more efficient contraceptive to the species most in heat. However, the Amethera continent Animal Growth Group, have successfully pleaded for the removal of such contraceptive on the Amethera continent, meaning the animal population there will surely increase quite a lot in the course of a couple of weeks.

Beta Phase II testers selected MindArk’s Virtual World Test On Track For Late August Start Gothenburg, Sweden - August 15, 2001 - MindArk AB announced today that preparations continue to progress smoothly for the upcoming Phase II beta test of its revolutionary Internet-based interactive entertainment enterprise, Project Entropia. The latest step to be completed is the selection of 500 new testers from among many thousands of applications received from around the world. The company stated that the process of notifying the new testers is under way, and reiterated its projection that Phase II will begin by the end of this month.
