Early settlers exterminated the vile beasts, as it displayed a chilling preference for human flesh. Its tentacles have numerous razor-sharp hooks, that make a certain death once in its embrace.
This is one of the rare creatures where a higher maturity is less difficult. The providers and guardians are much tougher than their older dominant brothers and a guardian could even take out an alpha male if it so chooses.
