General

The IFN Representative requests you to kill 10 Halix and/or Oro. These can be found close outside the Firebase Academy you receive the quest in.

Dialogue

IFN Representative:' "Listen up, colonist!

Your first hunting mission starts now.

Outside the walls of this new arrival area there is a natural population of Halix and Oro.

Your task is to kill ten of them, doesn't matter which type, and come back to me for a small reward.

One of the buttons in your top right is the Quest/Mission Log. Click it to keep track of your progress with the various missions on Planet Arkadia."
Answer 1: "What equipment will I need?"
Answer 2: "No thanks, another time."

IFN Representative:' "If I were you, I'd head to the Trade Terminal in the Command Post over there, and buy myself a gun and ammunition.
You can find out which ammunition your gun needs by looking at the Detailed Information section of its Item Info Panel. When you equip the weapon, you'll be able to see how many shots you have remaining, in the bottom right near your health bar.
You'll need to deposit some funds onto your PED card in order to make a purchase. You can do that via the "EU Transfer Centre" in the top right of your screen!
Remember, all the items you purchase can immediately be sold back to the Trade Terminal whenever you like, and the funds will be credited back to your PED card. The items you loot have a Trade Terminal value and a Markup Value too!"
Answer: "But I might get hurt!"

IFN Representative:' "Never fear! You can also purchase a suit of Musca (L) armour from the Trade Terminal to reduce the damage you receive, and a GYRO FAP-2 (L) to heal yourself.
If you have Armour right click each of its pieces in your Inventory and select Equip to wear it and be protected.
When you need to use the FAP to heal, right click it in your inventory and Equip, then use it as you'd use a weapon, to heal yourself."
Answer: "Woohoo! Let me at it!"

IFN Representative:' "Excellent, just head out the front of the fort and you'll find the creatures not far from the road.

IFN Representative:' "Well done, <name>
The IFN rewards those who can prove themselves, here is some training that will improve your overall ability to fight and survive.
If you want to learn more about your skills, you can press "K" to open up the Skills panel and have a look through them. The more you dosomething, the more you skill up (green writing in your Chat Panel). The more skill you have, the better and more efficient you become!
Make sure you've spoken to the PTech Mining Representative about how to mine and treasure hunt, and then you can talk to the Firebase guide who will direct you to civilisation!"
