Integration of the latest version of NDL's engine nears completion
Gothenburg, Sweden - May 30, 2001 - MindArk AB confirmed today that it is in the process of upgrading Project Entropia, its innovative science fiction-based persistent state online world, by implementing the NetImmerse 4.0 engine, the newest version of the 3D development toolkit from NDL.
“It's never a simple process to make major technological changes in mid-project,” stated Marketing Manager Patric Sundstrom. “However, our technology group is completely confident that providing support for bump-mapped reflection mapping, hardware character skinning, environment skinning and other features will allow for a definite step forward in terms of Project Entropia's graphical presentation. We expect implementation of NetImmerse 4.0 to be completed fairly soon, and we plan to release a new generation of screenshots soon after to show the difference.”
