Feffox Mayhem Results[edit]
19 April 2013
"The Feffox Mayhem event was a big success, with over one million of the ferocious creatures slain by brave colonists trying to contain the horde. The Imperial Zoological Scouts wishes to extend its gratitude to those colonists who assisted in collecting over 400,000 Feffox Sacs that will be invaluable in researching a scientific solution to the Feffox infestation.
Until such a solution has been developed, the existing Feffox Nests remain a hazard to all Calypsians. Hunters are encouraged to continue their efforts at keeping the Feffox population under control while IZS scientists work feverishly analyzing the Feffox sacs.
Congratulations to all the prize winners!

The $70,000 virtual egg is finally hatching
Gothenburg, Sweden - April 16, 2013 /Entropia Universe/ - Entropia Universe AB, the largest Massively Multiplayer Online Real Cash Economy (or MMORCE) game, announced today that the famous $70,000 virtual Atrox Queen dinosaur egg is hatching. The egg had lain dormant for over 6 years, and been sold numerous times, what comes out though will be worth the wait.
As scientists in the game attempted to open the egg they were attacked by the RX robotic units, invaders that have plagued the world before, and allowed the newborn creature to escape. This new creature, a Feffox, has begun causing havoc on the planet, destroying cities and wildlife alike. Players will need to go into the Feffox nests to gather specimens and create a toxin to stop the spread of this deadly beast. Once the toxin is released the players will have to come together one last time for a massive battle to save the world.
During this Spring event players will find special creatures and loot spawning on Planet Calypso. There will also be special PVP events with MindArk personnel, a hunting competition, and new areas will be introduced along with a huge new robot unit that will require team coordination to take down. There will even be various and hunting, mining and crafting events to keep everyone entertained as the new storyline unfolds.

Feffox Mayhem[edit]
15 April 2013, Thread: http://www.entropiaplanets.com/threads/feffox-mayhem.9050/
Jermaine Johansson: “We interrupt tonight’s broadcast of bla bla bla to bring you a shocking report on the developments at the CDF’s top-secret Egg Hatching Facility. CJ Weave joins us live from the scene. CJ?”
CJ Weave: “Th-thanks Jermaine. I am here... in what I was told would be the site of a modern day miracle, but what is now the scene of a massacre. Bodies everywhere. CDF soldiers... Scientists... Reporters...
The Egg hatched. The creature that emerged from the egg killed everyone in its path and escaped from the Hatching Facility. Xenobiologist Charles Marvin and Dr Wilson are missing, though their bodies were not found among the casualties.”
Jermaine Johansson: “Could you describe the creature for our viewers?”
CJ Weave: “I didn’t see it myself, but I heard it described as... uh... a Feffoid-like Atrox? Atroxoid Feffoid? Some of the surviving scientists were heard referring to the creature as the “Feffox”, but I’m not sure if there is a scientific basis for that or if it was just based on its peculiar appearance.”
Jermaine Johansson: “Right. Thank you, CJ.
One would imagine that a new, exotic creature would be a welcome sight for Calypso’s many hunters, but the situation is more dire than anyone could have expected. The Feffox are reproducing and spreading at an alarming rate. Already, four different Feffox nests have been discovered on Eudoria.
The Governor has tasked the CDF with clearing out the Feffox nests and stopping the propagation of this dangerous new species. The Omegaton corporation was contracted to drill points of entry into the nests. CDF personnel were slaughtered to such an extent that the local revival systems briefly failed. Omegaton is happy to report that the new Omegaton Groundhog drill worked perfectly. “Omegaton - We build it, you use it.”
... What? I see. Alright.
It appears that the studio has received a transmission from the... Imperial Zoological Scouts. Yes. The Imperial Zoological Scouts have a... plan to stop the spread of the Feffox, but it will require the help of Calypso’s hunters.
Hunters who wish to volunteer for this mission should contact the IZS representative in Boreas. Due to the highly dangerous work involved, the IZS are offering some very valuable rewards in exchange for assistance in acquiring the samples required for their plan for the Feffox.
Wow! If only I still had my trusty old Opalo. And all of my limbs. Oh well. Full details on the plan are coming up right away. Happy hunting, Calypsians!”
Feffox Mayhem Event Details
Description
Four Feffox Nests have been located on the Eudoria continent, at the following locations:
- Western Feffox Nest - 65905, 79456 (Low maturity)
- Southern Feffox Nest - 74090, 67588 (Low-mid maturity)
- Eastern Feffox Nest - 88283, 78559 (Mid-high maturity)
- Northern Feffox Nest - 81269, 92576 (High maturity)
In an effort to try to limit the reproduction rate of the dangerous new species, IZS scientists require biological samples from the Feffox nests, primarily in the form of reproductive sacs.
A large number of such samples are required, and the following point reward system has been offered for those assisting in the retrieval of Feffox Sacs:
- Rotten Feffox Sac (1 point)
- Sickly Feffox Sac (5 points)
- Damaged Feffox Sac (10 points)
- Healthy Feffox Sac (20 points)
- Mature Feffox Sac (50 points)
- Fully Developed Feffox Sac (100 points)
- Twin Feffox Sac (500 points)
- Mutated Feffox Sac (1000 points)
Recovered Feffox Sacs should be submitted to the IZS representative located at Boreas Outpost (74364 x 67360, Eudoria).
Event Times
Monday April 15, 16:00:00 UTC - Sunday April 28, 23:59:59.
***VERY IMPORTANT*** Be sure to turn in any recovered Feffox Sacs to the mission NPC before the event ends! Any Sacs remaining after the event end time will not be including in your final event score.

Rules & Notes
Each participant is limited to a maximum of 40 hours in the Feffox Nest event instances. This 40 hour limit applies to combined time in any of the Feffox Nest instances, not each individual nest. Event participants must keep track of their time spent in the event instances, since the current instance system unfortunately does not track time spent across multiple login/instance sessions.
This event is intended for solo hunters of all skill and gear levels. Any attempts at abusing team mechanics or any other Entropia Universe systems or features in order to gain an unfair advantage over other participants will be grounds for disqualification from the event, forfeiture of any prizes, and possible sanctions imposed on one’s Entropia Universe account.
Do not abandon the mission! If you abandon the mission for any reason, either intentionally or accidentally, all points earned up to that point will be lost forever. Support cannot and will not restore points for abandoned missions, regardless of the situation.
Happy Hunting!
EBN: The Egg has been recovered[edit]
14 April 2013, Thread: http://www.entropiaplanets.com/threads/ebn-the-egg-has-been-recovered.9048/
Jermaine Johansson: “You’re watching Entropia Breaking News. I’m your host, Jermaine Johansson.
Today’s top story: The Egg has been recovered and moved to a classified safe location. It is expected to hatch very soon.
CJ Weave joins us from the classified location. CJ?”
CJ Weave: “Thanks, Jermaine. I am at a heavily guarded CDF black site, where the Egg has just arrived from the scene of the battle with the RX units. I will, once again, be keeping you updated until the Egg has hatched.
I am joined by Xenobiologist Charles Marvin’s assistant, Dr Wilson, and CDF Ground Forces Commander de Souza. Dr Wilson, what can you tell us? Is the Egg alright?”
Dr Wilson: “The Egg has just been put into the new incubator that was built with the parts collected by colonists. All its vital signs are normal and it does not appear to have been tampered with. Tiny cracks are already starting to appear in the shell, and from what we can tell they were not caused by external trauma.”
CJ Weave: “So when can we expect it to hatch? What can we expect to come out of the Egg?”
Dr Wilson: “It could be days, or just hours. Any time now. Whatever comes out, the Egg hatching will be the dawn of a new era on Calypso, Dr. Marvin assures us.”
CJ Weave: “General, as the person responsible for the “rescue operation” of the Egg, this must be a thrilling moment for you. How does it feel to have played such a pivotal part in what will be “the dawn of a new era on Calypso?”
Brigadier General de Souza: “Are you serious? Just hatch the damn thing so my men can stop babysitting and get back to fighting the invasion.”
Dr Wilson: “Commander, you don’t understand-”
Brigadier General de Souza: “No, doctor, YOU don’t underst-”
Xenobiologist Charles Marvin: “I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY! General, the work done in here, by my team, outweighs all that you and your soldiers are doing out on the surface. The robots invaded to get the Egg. The RX violated the truce to get the Egg. There is only one way we can end this invasion - by hatching the Egg. And when it does, it will be absolutely marvellous.”
Brigadier General de Souza: “By that logic, we might as well destroy the Egg and be done with it.”
Charles Marvin: “Commander! Need I call the Governor again?”
Brigadier General de Souza: “Listen, you-”
CJ Weave: “Speaking of the RX, commander: some have voiced concerns that going after all RX because of the actions of a few is only going to open up a new conflict for no good reason.”
Brigadier General de Souza: “If we see a robot, do we ask it if it personally has killed Calypsians before we destroy it? No. How is destroying an RX any different from destroying a robot?”
CJ Weave: “What about those who say that these RX might not even be the same RX that have coexisted peacefully with us here on Calypso?”
Brigadier General de Souza: “That is a lie. A dangerous rumour that you should not be perpetuating. Look - The RX have murdered CDF personnel. Stolen the property of Calypsians. Plotted with the robots against us. The events of the last few weeks show just how vulnerable we are to attacks from the RX. None of us will be safe until all RX on Calypso are dealt with - and they will be dealt with.”
CJ Weave: “Very well. Thank you, commander.”
Jermain Johansson: “...
Hrm. Alright, thrilling stuff. We’re going to take a short break for some messages from our sponsor, the Chikara corporation - but be sure to stay tuned for the conclusion of this mystery several years in the making. You don’t want to miss this “dawn of a new era”.”
EBN: RX UNIT OMEGA AND THE EGG LOCATED - FINAL SHOWDOWN THIS SUNDAY[edit]
12 April 2013, Thread: http://www.entropiaplanets.com/threads/ebn-rx-unit-omega-and-the-egg-located-final-showdown-this-sunday.9040/
Jermain Johansson: “You’re watching Entropia Breaking News. I’m your host, Jermaine Johansson.
Today’s top story:
Spatial units collected from the destroyed RX units of type “Alpha” have lead the CDF to the whereabouts of the RX unit known as “Omega”. The Egg is believed to be with the Omega.
CDF Ground Forces Commander Brigadier General Yevgeny de Souza released the following statement:”
Voice of Brigadier General Yevgeny de Souza: “It’s time to end this. This Sunday, between 18:00-19:00 UTC, the final RX on Calypso will be destroyed, and the Egg will be recovered.
Whoever lands the killing blow on an RX unit will be rewarded with the following:
RX Unit Bounty Rewards

RX slayers will have their rewards placed in their inventories after the fight is over.
Stay tuned for more details.
End transmission.”

EBN: Raiders of the stolen Egg[edit]
02 April 2013, Thread: http://www.entropiaplanets.com/threads/ebn-raiders-of-the-stolen-egg.8985/
Jermaine Johansson: “You’re watching Entropia Breaking News. I’m your host, Jermaine Johansson. Our regular program has been cancelled in order to bring you a statement from CDF Ground Forces Commander, Brigadier General Yevgeny de Souza. Commander?”
Yevgeny de Souza: “CDF intelligence ops have, together with Calypso’s top experts on robots, developed a plan to find the RX and the Egg.
The key lies in the spatial unit, a component of the robot brain.
The spatial unit stores locations, directions, as well as various protocols related to movement, such as patrol routes. We therefore believe that if the robots have a plan for where to take the Egg, we should be able to find clues in the spatial unit.”
Jermaine: “How can our viewers help?”
Yevgeny de Souza: “They can help by getting us the spatial units. Spatial units have been found on all known robot models, so destroy all the robots you can and loot their spatial units. Spatial units shall be handed in to CDF personnel. Any colonists who hands in a spatial unit will be rewarded with one pair of RX OpTac x1 Gloves.
A CDF soldier will be stationed at Fort Troy to accept both spatial units and incubator parts, and hand out rewards.”
Jermaine: “Thank you, commander. Anything you would like to add before you go?”
Yevgeny de Souza: “Yes. Some incubator parts are still missing. Incubator parts have been recovered when mining, hunting and crafting. There appears to be no pattern in how they were found. Hand in incubator parts to Private Cooper to receive a reward.”
Jermaine: “Commander, before you go: what can you tell us about the objects that are approaching Calypso? Are they like the others that hit Calypso last week?”
Yevgeny de Souza: “What objects?”
Jermaine: “Huge, spherical objects are approaching Calypso from space. They’re big, and they’re fast. We can actually see them with our naked eyes from here at Exodus Space Station. By my estimation they will reach Calypso tomorrow. Has the CDF not detected the objects?”
Yevgeny de Souza: “...
I’m needed elsewhere.
End transmission.”
Jermaine: “Commander? Huh. Interesting.
Well, folks, all I can say is that this reporter certainly envies you who are planetside, who get to fight for our homeworld - and have a chance to get your hands on some of that sweet-looking RX armor!
Happy hunting. Tell ‘em Jermaine sent ya!”

EBN: The egg heist[edit]
30 March 2013, Thread: http://www.entropiaplanets.com/threads/ebn-incident-at-treasure-island.8969/
Jermaine Johansson: “You’re watching Entropia Breaking News. I’m your host, Jermaine Johansson.
Today’s top story: The Egg has been stolen. We go immediately to Treasure Island Castle, where CJ Weave is reporting live from the scene of the crime. CJ?”
CJ Weave: “Thanks, Jermaine. I am here at Treasure Island Castle with Xenobiologist Charles Marvin’s assistant, Dr. Wilson, as the Xenobiologist himself is too distraught to be interviewed. Dr. Wilson, we’ve all seen the shocking footage from the surveillance cameras. What can you tell us? Do you know what has happened to the Egg?”
Dr Wilson: “All we know is that it’s alive, and still on Calypso. The tracking signal is scrambled by some kind of interference, so we can’t pinpoint its exact location.”
Jermaine: “I’m going to have to cut you off there, CJ, as the studio is receiving a call from CDF Eudoria HQ. Hello? To whom am I speaking?”
Yevgeny de Souza: “This is the voice of CDF Ground Forces Commander, Brigadier General Yevgeny de Souza.
The CDF has analyzed the scene of the heist, and the surveillance video. The patterns of the electromagnetic interference in the video, coupled with a single piece of armor found at Treasure Island Castle, has lead us to the conclusion that we are in fact dealing with humanoid robots.”
Jermaine: “RX units?”
Yevgeny de Souza: “…
Do you know of any other kind of humanoid robots?
Calypso’s top virtuologists and robotologists are working day and night to find a way to track down-”
Charles Marvin: “Wilson, tell them about the incubator!”
Dr Wilson: “Uh... Yes, professor... When the thieves took the Egg, they broke the incubator holding it. The Egg must be retrieved, but if we don’t repair the incubator or make a new one, the Egg will still die.”
Charles Marvin: “You have to help us, commander! This is your fault! Remember what the governor said!”
Jermaine Johansson: “Are you still with us, commander?”
Yevgeny de Souza: “… Let’s talk about this in private, professor.”
Charles Marvin: “You must allocate manpower to get us the incubator parts! The Egg must be of even greater importance than we could have imagined. You must not let it die, commander!”
Yevgeny de Souza: “We don’t HAVE the manpower. We are already wasting resources by looking for the damn Egg. Calypso is facing an invasion of unprecedented scale, and you want me to-
….
Yes, sir. Understood. Will do.
...
Right. As the CDF can not spare the manpower to secure the incubator parts, the governor calls on all able-bodied colonists to help find them. Any colonists who hands in an incubator part will be rewarded by the CDF. The location at which the incubator parts can be handed in will be disclosed in the coming days.
Among the rewards will be... various armor parts that were reverse engineered by the CDF from the single piece of RX armor left behind at Treasure Island. The complete list of rewards will follow after this broadcast.”
CJ Weave: “Professor, how does one find an incubator part?”
Charles Marvin: “Incubator parts can be found when hunting, mining, or crafting. So manufacture one, dig one out of the ground, or kill someone or something and take theirs! It doesn’t matter, just get us the incubator parts!”
Yevgeny de Souza: “May I PLEASE finish now?
I have a war to win.
Experts are trying to figure out a way to find the RX, and the Egg. We don’t yet know why the RX broke the truce, nor why they are collaborating with the robots. Colonists are urged to remain vigilant, as the RX could be hiding among us. Any suspicious behavior should be reported to the CDF.
End transmission.”
Jermaine: “Well, there you have it, folks. Interesting stuff. Wouldn’t mind getting my hands on some of that RX armor myself. You’re probably going to attract a lot of accidental blue on blue in it though... But you probably wouldn’t even notice it if you’re wearing that armor. Wow! Happy hunting!”

Fan Fiction[edit]
29 March 2013, Thread: http://www.entropiaplanets.com/threads/ebn-incident-at-treasure-island.8969/#post-58206
A long time ago these aliens were attacked by the robots, like Calypso has been for a few times now. It was a long time ago and they were both a lot more primitive then they are these days. After decades of war the robots finally seemed to get the upper hand and the aliens were forced to hide their most important 'treasure'. With all their last effort they managed to build spaceships capable of traveling large distanced trough space. They also build a capsule and hid the 'treasure' in it.
Right before they were overrun by the robots a few spaceships managed to leave the planet and go into space. All of them went a different direction in order to confuse the robots. A few of their ships did get shot down, but the one with the 'treasure' at least got away.
After traveling years they found a planet suitable to hide the capsule containing the 'treasure'. The planet was a very young planet where life had just begun. The aliens hid the capsule somewhere on the planet and set an alarm, to notify them IF the capsule was found, bet they did not expect anyone to find it ever.
The planet evolved and so did the creatures and all the creatures we now know on the planet finally lived on the planet. Then one day a strange race of bipeds arrived on the planet and called it Calypso. They colonized the planet and killed its creatures. All that activity attracted the robots, because they assimilate societies and use their resources, so they were attacked several times, but neither the colonists or the robots knew what was hidden on Calypso.
One day one of the colonists killed a big creature and found a strange egg shaped capsule, which all of a sudden started to vibrate. Not knowing what it was he sold it to one of the well know colonists on the planet, who in turn sold it again after a few years to another colonist.
What they and all the other colonists did not know was that the vibration of the egg was actually the alarm the aliens set on the capsule to notify them if the capsule was found. The signal traveled trough space and after years arrived at the descendants of the escaped aliens that settled on a distant planet all those years ago.
The tale of the capsule was part of their history so they instantly knew what had happened and began their travel to the planet they hit the capsule on.
Arriving at the planet they discovered that the same robots that had made them leave their planet were now attacking Calypso and that the robots were, as they were, much more evolved this time. They decided that attacking the robots would let the robots know that they still excised and so they came up with a plan to rescue the egg from the planet.
As we have seen from the video, this was not that hard, because not knowing what it was Deathifier had just left it on his table for the aliens to grab......

EBN: Status Update from Treasure Island[edit]
08 March 2013
Jermaine: “You’re watching Entropia Breaking News. I’m your host, Jermaine Johansson.
Tonight’s top story:
“The federal empire - omniscient, omnipresent, benevolent and just sustainer and protector of mankind“.
But first, we’ll take you to Treasure Island Castle, where our reporter, CJ Weave, has an update on the effort to hatch the Egg. CJ?”
CJ: Thanks, Jermaine. Charles Marvin and his team have started the procedure that they say will finally reveal the contents of the fabled Egg. The team of scientists says-
Brigadier General Yevgeny de Souza: “This is CDF Ground Forces Commander Yevgeny de Souza, transmitting on all frequencies.
Multiple warships of unknown origin have entered Calypso’s atmosphere. The fleet is currently over north-west Amethera, heading south-east at high speed. All civilians are urged to stay calm and keep clear; the CDF will intercept the vessels before they reach any major population centers. End transmission.”
Jermaine: ”Uh... Okay. Back over to CJ. CJ?”
CJ Weave: “Thanks, Jermaine. Like I said, Charles Marvin and his team have initiated the procedure that they say will finally reveal the contents of the Egg. The team of scientists says that the Egg still needs to be incubated a while longer, but it’s merely a question of time before it hatches.
I will be reporting to you from Treasure Island until... until....”
Jermaine: “CJ? What’s all that commotion? Is the Egg hatching?”
CJ Weave: “No, it’s - we’re being attacked! Please, send he-”
Jermaine: “CJ? CJ!
Well, folks, it appears we have lost the feed. Uh... Enjoy these messages from our sponsor, the Genesis Star corporation, while our technicians work on getting the feed back up.”

EBN: Egg-citing news out of Treasure Island - and that’s no yolk![edit]
08 March 2013
Jermaine the Anchorman: “You’re watching Entropia Breaking News. I’m your host, Jermaine Johansson.
Today’s top story:
A major announcement coming out of Treasure Island. We go now to our reporter, CJ Weave, who is reporting live from Treasure Island Castle. CJ?”
CJ Weave: “Thanks, Jermaine.
'Aaaah, The Egg...' A standing joke among Calypsians, ever since entrepreneur-colonist Zachurm “Deathifier” Emegen bought the petrified ovum for a fantastical amount of PED. Now, scientists say, we might finally get to hear the punchline.
The Egg will hatch - if everything goes as planned, that is.
We are joined now by renowned Xenobiologist Charles Marvin, who is leading the project to hatch the Egg.
“Charles, how exactly do you plan on hatching the Egg?”
Xenobiologist Charles Marvin: “It’s simple, really. The Egg was extracted from the carcass of the Atrox Queen - it was never brought to term. We intend to ‘tell’ the Egg that it’s time to hatch, by subjecting it to a cocktail of hormones... Atrox and otherwise.”
CJ Weave: “What exactly do you hope to accomplish by hatching the Egg?”
Xenobiologist Charles Marvin: “Knowledge. The Egg is a xenobiological anomaly. It will remain a missing link in our understanding of this world we call Calypso until it hatches.
And who knows what we could learn from whatever hides within the egg?”
CJ Weave: “Charles, it’s an Atrox Queen egg; would it not be safe to assume that it contains an atrox?”
Xenobiologist Charles Marvin: Well... Uhm... Good point. Hmm... It’s actually a green Atrox Queen egg, so...”
CJ Weave: Thank you, professor. For EBN News, I’m CJ Weave. Back to you at the station.
Jermaine: “Well, there you have it, folks. A new chapter in Calypso’s history, or the world’s most expensive omelet? I personally can’t wait to find out. Stay tuned.”

Event: Recovering the Unique Green Atrox Egg from the Maffoid[edit]
29 July 2010
"For over a month The Egg has sat in a dark shed out in the middle of the frozen wastes of western Amethera, its position having been pinpointed by a number of adventurous colonists.
It is now time to recover The Egg so that it can begin its journey back to Treasure Island.
This requires the Maffoid threat in the area to be temporarily neutralised.
Three separate hour-long assaults will be launched on the 1st of August, their targets being the Maffoid Leadership Caste that resides in OLA-33.
These assaults will be organised through the Calypso Event System, and entry is free.
Calypso Colonists are invited to join in one or more of the assaults. The three people who collect the most loot from fallen Maffoid in each assault will each be rewarded with 175 PED for their efforts.
Colonists who wish to participate yet do not wish to engage the Maffoid directly are invited to scout for those fighting and discuss strategies for returning The Egg to Treasure Island. The results of these strategy discussions will help determine the path The Egg takes on its way home.
If you wish to participate please register at the OLA-33 control tower, located here: 21700, 43250
The nearest teleporter is located on OLA-34 at: 23000, 44200
To avoid last minute complications please register in advance.

Competition: Where did my Egg go!?[edit]
17 May 2010
"My Egg is missing!
It is believed that last Friday someone or something swapped out The Egg for a fake and took off with the real one.
I only learned about the theft when I arrived at the Australia vs. Italy match on Sunday and a fellow team member, Addz, informed me that my pretty Green Atrox Egg has been replaced by a rather small imitation decorative egg.
Worst of all this imitation egg isn’t even the right colour!
By now whoever or whatever has taken The Egg could be anywhere on Calypso.
Thus I require assistance from the community in locating my Egg and finding out who or what is responsible for taking it. The thieves will then be dealt with appropriately [IMG]
I am offering a 50 PED reward for information on, and visual confirmation of, the location of my Egg.
The first person to post visual confirmation (a screenshot) of The Egg in this thread will receive a 50 PED reward.
NOTE: This offer is also on another community forum and a single avatar may receive at most one reward (i.e. if you post in this and the other forum thread you will only win once).
IMPORTANT: The screenshot of The Egg must clearly show your avatar name and the current date and time in the chat window. You may obscure other details such as the balance of your PED card and the other content in your chat window.
CLUES: At present the only clue available is that whoever or whatever stole The Egg has likely gotten tired of carrying it around (The Egg is rather heavy after all) and has put it down somewhere.
Further clues may become available after I review security footage from the suspected time of theft and debrief my lazy egg guards.
In the meantime please help find my Egg!
Update: You are encouraged to post that you've found the egg even if others have already found it, I'd like overwhelming evidence of the eggs location!

Visual update:Ahhh the... Decorative!? Egg[edit]
31 March 2010
"A few weeks ago I noticed something unusual when searching for an item in storage.
The Unique Green Atrox egg which I had previously placed, very carefully, in storage to keep it safe looked different – it was smaller, with a very detailed image replacing its previous simple egg image that it has had since being discovered years ago.
A detailed examination revealed that the egg is now contained in a decorative enclosure.
Most interestingly it appears that the enclosure has some sort of shielding system integrated into it. Whether this is to protect the egg from accidental damage, or to protect us from the egg, is not immediately obvious.
For now I have placed the egg in the courtyard of my mansion, near Treasure Island’s central teleporter, as a safety measure – I do not know what the quality, or purpose, of the eggs new shielding system is and I’d rather it be out in the open if it was to catastrophically fail.
Other than its new decorative look there have been no other observed changes even with the recent re-appearance of unusual Atrox species.
I’m fairly confident that those didn’t come from the egg as there was no mini-Atrox running around storage trying to bite my arm off when I took the egg out
The mansion remains publically accessible and visitors to the island are more than welcome to take a look at the eggs fancy new enclosure
If you don't want to trek all the way over to my house you can take a look at the pic on my website.
Enjoy, Deathifier"

Egg bought by Deathifier[edit]
06 February 2010
"To the great surprise of the Calypso community I bid on and won the Unique Green Atrox Egg that Neverdie placed on auction recently, paying 696969 PED for it.
I have watched with interest the comments surrounding the auction, the speculation afterwards, and the press releases from Neverdie and First Planet Company (FPC).
Whilst disbelief that I would buy a seemingly useless egg for such a large amount of PED is understandable, the transaction is legitimate – I won the auction, I now own the egg and Neverdie now has a large pile of PED.
Claims that the transaction was just a publicity stunt, that I received part of the purchase price back, or that the transaction included some share of Neverdie’s companies, are all false.
I also do not know what will hatch out of it, and neither does Neverdie.
I do, however, believe that whatever hatches will be unique and interesting, and unique is a valuable label to have in a virtual world whose lifespan will be measured in decades :)
I also believe that FPC has had an “egg plan” for quite some time now and that the effort required to produce VU10 delayed its implementation. With VU10 done I believe that they may now have time to complete their plan, and I purchased the egg hoping that whatever happens to it will happen this year or early next year.
It was nice to learn what Neverdie will be using the money for – for him the egg has hatched into a tidy profit with which he will fund his next big hit on the dance music scene, “One More Crazy Summer” by Cheri Moon.
I wish Neverdie and Cheri all the best with their endeavours, they sound like a lot of fun :)
For us on Calypso the egg remains shrouded in mystery, waiting silently for whatever trigger will hatch it.
See you around Calypso! - Deathifier"

Competition:What is in the Egg?[edit]
30 October 2009
"In July 2006 I acquired the fabled Unique Green Egg of the Legendary Atrox Queen. Tens of Thousands of Avatars form all over the world had hunted for the Egg over the course of a few months and when it was finally found, no one seemed to know what to do with it. Sensing a mythological opportunity I paid 100,000 PED ($10,000 USD Cash) for this mysterious Virtual Treasure...
To Everyone's Amazement, this vibrating Egg confounded expctations by not hatching and as the months and Years passed, speculation gave way to disbelief and finally to Mythology...
Even an Expression was born that has found it's way into the Virtual pop culture lexicon
"Ahh the Egg....."
Which can be roughly translated as "I wish I knew, but even if I did I wouldn't be able to tell you, so i will just blow smoke up your ass instead"
Hints and Clues, portends and Omens have been interpreted by many and thier is reason to believe the great Mystery of the Egg may soon be revealed..
There have been a Million Guesses as to what might hatch and to celebrate the Closing of one Chapter virtual world history and the start of another Era, I would like to invite anyone to post thier guess in this Thread...
No Editing of guesses will be permitted so please take your time before you post. Also only one guess per person...
When the mustery of the Egg is Finally Revealed, the guess that comes closest will be rewarded with 5000 PED ($500) in the Event that two or more guesses are very close an open Polll will be held to determine the Winner by Vote...."

2006: Introduction of the egg[edit]
EBN: Orbital Omelet[edit]
25 Jul 2006
News of Tzest0s's discovery of the Atrox Egg on a slain Feffoid Warlord has finally reached EBN headquarters. In an effort to find out what best to do with the egg, EBN once again sought the council of Prof. Nus Magsun, only to find no trace of the Professor anywhere. Friends and colleagues are mystified at the Professor's disappearance and a region-wide search has been initiated around New Oxford, where the Professor is said to have kept an apartment.
In a further bizarre twist, it seems the shrewd Tzest0s harbored the egg in his apartment and storage before finally selling it to night club mogul NeverDie for 100,000 PED. The famed egg now constitutes a kooky sideshow for revelers at NeverDie's astral night spot.
With so little information available, and its only possible source missing, we have little idea what to expect from the egg. A Science Team has been dispatched to the Asteroid juke joint to take a small test sample of the egg for further analysis. We all eagerly await their results in the coming weeks and wonder how this egg might affect the course of events on Calypso.
Egg bought by NEVERDIE[edit]
20 July 2006
"Hi Everyone, I'm very pleased to announce that the Unique Atrox Queen Egg has been safely transported to Club NEVERDIE. Despite fears that the Space Flight might cause the egg to hatch. I'm happy to say that it is safe and sound and still Vibrating.
In the interests of public safety I will make sure the egg is under armed guard 24/7.. in the VIP Section of the main Night Club. The area is currently open for public viewing
Lets just hope the Punk Rock Music this weekend doesnt get it too excited"

Discovery of the egg[edit]
11 July 2006
On 11 July 2006 "Mc'Lap Tzest0s Alexan'ru" discovered the egg in loot when receiving a 2853 PED HOF from a Feffoid Warlord.
EBN: Holy Hunkies![edit]
07 Jul 2006
EBN have just received the following picture from colonist Marcus Moody from somewhere deep in the outback. Just when we were starting to feel safe, our worst fears seem to have been realised as we see a group of delighted Feffoids dancing around what appears to be the Atrox Queen's Egg!!
Obviously the Feffoids got their hands on the egg while our brave colonists were fighting off the Queen.
We always knew the Feffoids weren't our greatest friends, but now we know that they're out to make life as hard as possible for us. Are we going to let the dim witted Feffoids try to raise a new pet? Is there anybody out there ready to find the camp and destroy the egg?
EBN: Long Live the Desert Rangers[edit]
20 June 2006
Together with colonists from all over Calyspo, the Atrox Queen was found and destroyed by the Desert Rangers. Although heavy casualties were suffered, the hardy colonist band was upbeat as they peppered the beefy brute into oblivion. Paolo made a video of the hunt which is available here.
Mossemeez provided us with an on-the-scene report of the Queens demise, informing us that skinning the monster Queen gave very little hide, as her skin had been too badly damaged during the hunt. She did however manage to chew up a few brave colonists before her death, and gutting the creature later revealed several armor pieces including a rare female Shadow helmet. Several wallets were also found in the Queens stomach, with over 100 PEDs being recovered.
What was not found however, was the egg, and until we know for sure that the egg has been found and destroyed we cannot rest. The egg may be lying out there, incubating under Calypso's sun, getting ready to unleash a new breed of Atrox on Calypso.

EBN: Crowning Glory[edit]

The continuous appearance of large Atrox herds on the northern plains of Eudoria suggests that the Atrox reproductive cycle is reaching its climax. According to our learned source at the Zoological Institute, we may expect to see hatchlings very soon - a sure sign that the mighty Queen herself is close by and ready to come out and lay her egg.
EBN eagerly awaits the first reports and pictures from the field, and with such large herds of younger and older Atrox hope that Calypso's colonists, old and new, will dust off their Justifiers, take the trail northwards and be part of this adventure.
EBN: The Bitch Is Back[edit]
14 Jun 2006
Following last weeks disturbing news of increased Atrox activity in the northern reaches of Eudoria, and reports of commotion from Fort Ithaca as we speak, EBN feel compelled to reveal the second part of our interview with Prof. Nus Magsun. Shedding light on previously unknown behaviors of the Atrox species, the Professor continued:
"We set out to discover what could have lain behind the surprising appearance of these more aggressive strains of Atrox. As we crossed the mountain range east of the Rogue Plains, we caught sight of the mighty Atrox Queen - a monstrous creature, bigger than anything ever seen. Protected by feral Marauders, we observed the Queen laying one huge egg and a clutch of smaller ones around it. These lesser embryos hatched quickly to form a merciless defensive pack around the Queen and her main egg. The large egg was left to incubate under the Calypsian sun, absorbing radiation that would mutate its genome and spawn a more savage breed of Atrox. This level of evolution in just one generation was completely unprecedented."
It would seem that while the Atrox reproductive cycle is several years in length, its results can be devastating for the natural areas it inhabits, restricting access for other animals and colonists alike. We can only hope that our hardiest hunters can pick up a trail on this Queen and her pack, destroy the egg they protect, and spare Calypso and it's colonists from an even deadlier wilderness.
EBN: Atrox Alarm[edit]
08 Jun 2006
Fort Ithaca is again in the news this week, following the brutal mauling of colonist SirAttack by an Atrox Marauder on the southern outskirts of the settlement last week. With abnormally high pheromone readings reported by Zoological Scouts earlier this year, we asked Professor Nus Magsun from the Zoological Institute if there was any explanation to the sudden appearance of these fierce new beasts.
"The Atrox", explained the Professor "is a truly fascinating animal. While Marauders are a rare sight, I believe they are an excellent indication of the status of the herd's reproductive cycle. Shortly after I arrived on Calypso", he continued "I was lucky enough to be on an expedition in the area just west of where Fort Argus stands today. We had encountered Alphas and Dominants all over the continent for many years, but suddenly we began noticing new larger and more aggressive Atroxes like the Marauders. This was to lead us to one of the greatest discoveries about the Atrox species..."
EBN has contacted all the local authorities on Calypso after this alarming report, and urges all colonists to be on the lookout for these diabolical fore bearers.
